The urgent need to address this exodus, To find a solution, to bridge the gap and thus, Retain our talented, skilled workforce, To ensure our healthcare system stays on course.

For years, they have trained with dedication, To serve their people, their noble vocation, But the allure of better prospects afar, Has led them to leave, to follow a distant star.

We must acknowledge their desire to grow, To seek better wages, to let their talents flow, But we cannot ignore the impact it has, On our healthcare system, on the lives it grasps.

The shortage of nurses and midwives is felt, In hospitals and clinics, where patients are dealt, With long waiting times and overwhelmed staff, The consequences of this exodus, a harsh aftermath.

It’s time to invest in our healthcare sector, To provide better incentives, to protect and nurture, Our nursing and midwifery professionals, our pride, To ensure they stay, to stem this outward tide.

Let’s create an environment that fosters growth, With competitive salaries, training programs both, To retain our talented workforce, to give them reason, To stay and serve their people, in every season.

For the health of our nation, we must unite, To address this issue, to shed a guiding light, To build a healthcare system that’s strong and secure, With Ghanaian professionals, steadfast and pure.
